Solvang House

Solvang is an old Danish town in the San Inez Valley in California. This house in the high fire corridor is for an interior designer who loves symmetry and a lifeguard who asked only for an outdoor shower. Volumes are arranged around a courtyard and clad in cementitious fiberboard to reference exposed timber structures in town.
